This summer (2025) Dean refreshed our trail kiosk in the Waldo Woods--paint and caulk and added the memorial sign for Erich Roethel.
Erich was a ten-year member of the club, marking a section of trail and had taken on the president's position for the 2023-2024 season. This meant in his first year as president, he attended a lot of extra meetings helping to plan one of the tour buses during the Convention in March 2024 with the southern region clubs. He had planned to continue to support the club as president as long as the club wanted. He unexpectedly passed away August 4, 2024.
